Belma implants consist of a polymer reservoir surrounded by a hormone diffusion-controlling membrane. They are designed to release daily doses of a hormone to produce physiological or pharmacological plasma concentrations in mice and rats.

Product Information:

• Implants designed to release daily doses of progesterone to produce physiological plasma concentrations in rats and mice. The implants release 60 to 120 µg/24hr to achieve plasma concentrations of 5.3-11.2 ng/ml. (The normal values in these rodents are between 1.2 and 18.4 ng/ml.)
• Excellent correlation between the in vitro diffusion values and plasma concentrations (Fig. 1).
